Humanistic Islam for the 21st Century

On September 30, 2017, a workshop on the philosophy of Muhammad Iqbal, the spiritual father of modern Pakistan and author of The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam, was held at the Medina Institute and Mosque in Little Rock, AR.  Farhan Shah, an expert on Iqbal, led the workshop by Skype from Norway, and Sophia Said along with Dr. McDaniel helped facilitate from the Madina Institute and Mosque.  Participants were encouraged to read a chapter of Iqbal’s book, which can be found on McDaniel’s website: click here.
