Humanistic Islam for the 21st Century

Muhammad Iqbal is the spiritual father of modern Pakistan, author of The Reconstruction of Islam. This session will be a skyped conversations with Farhan Shah (Oslo, Norway), a scholar of Iqbal developing his vision for Muslims seeking a progressive, humanistic Islam for the 21st century. Our topic will be the content and relevance of Muhammad Iqbal’s The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam to Islam and the world today. It is open to the general public and will be facilitated by Dr. Jay McDaniel of Hendrix College.
